Up---Back---Left at back of tank would be my advice. The real problem that makes the removal of the tank such a problem is the rubber donuts on the frame backstrap. They have a tendency to dry out and then act like glue attaching themselves to the tank preventing your best efforts to break them free. Salution for this problem is to dose them down good with silicone spray before putting the tank back on. Should solve the problem for the next time the tank is removed.
